The Limpopo Watercourse Commission (LIMCOM) is an intergovernmental Institution established by the Republic of Botswana, Republic of Mozambique, Republic of South Africa and Republic of Zimbabwe through the multilateral agreement, with the objective of advising the four States and providing recommendations on the uses of the Limpopo River, its tributaries and its waters for the purpose and measures of protection, preservation and management of the River.
The Commission provides policy guidance as appropriate on projects falling under LIMCOM, or those national projects of regional interest within the basin. The Commission also review project briefs as may be provided and advise accordingly. A Secretariat was established to assist with the execution of its administrative, technical and other functions, including represent the Commission in different forums.
